- Note: there seem to have been several William Howes bricklayers in the East End at that time. . . .perhaps there was only one!
Given proximity of William's child, Peter, to Joseph Howes 1773 in 1841 census, maybe William and Joseph were also related. Seems even more likely now I see that their wives were from the same village. Now even more likely now it appears the wives had the same family name! And even more given that they had the same parents!
