FELL FROM BREAKWATER
a naval man fell from hartlepool breakwater last night and was drowned, despite rescue efforts with a lifeline. the body, that of douglas j howes (19), of rainham, kent, has not yet been recovered. howes was walking on the pier with friends at the time.
