The Gloucester Journal published inquests from the early 19th century. Here is a tricky entry for April 21, 1806:
On Monday as -----HOWSE, Esq. of Cirencester, formerly Surgeon in the Army, was conversing with a person in the market, at that place, he dropped down, and instantly expired! He has left a wife and twelve children.
An Army surgeon ought to be easy to track down, but I can't see him in our database. Neither can I find an appropriate Howes/Howse person dying in Cirencester in 1806. Can you track him down?
