  Notes	NYTimes obit reads: The Rev Reuben Wing Howes, 79 years old, a retired clergyman, died yesterdat at his home, 34 West Tenth Street. Ill health had caused him to abandon active work thirty years ago. Born in New York, he was graduated from Columbia and from the General Theological Seminary After a short time spent at the Briar Cliff Episcopal Church, Mr Howes was called to Hoboken, where he was the rector of Trinity Church for eight years. His father, R W Howes, was a well-known financier aand the founder of the Park Bank. ===================================================== The church in Westchester County is now All Saints’ Episcopal Church, Briarcliff Manor, where there is a memorial plaque to him.
