  Notes	Thanks to Alan Howes for the following: Bridgnorth Journal and South Shropshire Advertiser No. 4,888 Saturday, February 28, 1948 Mr. C. Howes. - On Monday the death occurred of Mr. Charles Howes, 55, St. Mary’s street, aged 71. A native of Worcestershire, he was until his retirement 12 years ago, a postman, working in various parts of the county, including Ruyton-XI-Towns and Bridgnorth. During the 1914-18 war he served with the Royal Veterinary Corps as a sergeant. In April 1946, he and his wife, by whom he is survived, together with four sons and three daughters, celebrated their golden wedding. The funeral took place at the Cemetery yesterday (Friday).
