    • Baptism not found, but possibly at Repps Cum Bastwick.
      Death: June Q 1900 Norwich (4b 82) aged 69yrs

      Robert Pitchers was born in Saxlingham and worked for William Rising as a farm bailiff at Somerton Hall. Robert later became a thatcher and then a licenced Victualler. Charles, his son, later looked after the Public House, “The Lion Inn” at West Somerton. Sophia was a widow in 1891 and living at Martham.
      In 1955, an old Mr. Pitchers, a descendant of Robert and Sophia’s ran the Post Office in West Somerton. Both Robert and Sophia Pitchers are buried in Martham.
