Howes, son of Harry Walter and Hazel Gail (Hamilton) Howes, passed away peacefully on November 2, 2011, in Baldwin, MI following a long illness. He graduated from Augusta High School, and worked for Parsons Brake Service for 39 years. Russ was preceded in death by his parents, wife Marion Harback, 2nd wife Mamie Libey, brothers: Thomas, Richard, Harry, Jack, and an un-named infant, a sister: Laura Thompson. He is survived by a sister: Ruth Williamson of California, two step sisters: Bernadine Blue of Battle Creek, Beryl Kempf of Marshall, sons: Roger, Philip (Peggy), David (Marjorie), a daughter-in-law: Reba (James) Reining of Panhandle, Texas, six grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
